OK, i know if i untick a VTS set in dif4u it will copy them files straight to a video_ts folder, but say i want to untick a program chain as i dont feel the need to encode that chain.

I.E....

The dvd im backing up has 3 vts sets, the first has 2 PGC, the first is the movie the second is the fox logo.
The second VTS set has 4 PGC's the first 3 are about 4 - 7 mins and the last is 12 mins.

Now i done a test, and if i untick the 2nd PGC in the 1st VTS set, and untick the 1st,2nd, and 3rd PGC's in the second VTS set, when it gets through to reauthorist the first vts set only shows one pgc,and the second set shows all 4 but the first 3 are dummys, mean the final will have them stripped out.

So from this i'm guessing you have to have all PGC's in a VTS set tick other wise there'll be stripped out right ?

If so how do i tell dif4u which PGC's i dont want re-encoded ?

Assuming you are using ReAuthorist as well, I've found that it's easiest to keep all the PGCs checked in DIF4U, and remove the ones you don't want in the final movie in ReAuthorist instead. This way ReAuthorist sees the correct file structure, and can determine where to place the dummy files more accurately when exporting the Scenarist script.

OK thanks for that, but what i would also like to know is how do i set it up so that the pgc does'nt get processed, say i have a 7 min pgc but i dont want it to be processed through cce ?

Well, if you remove it from ReAuthorist, it won't get processed by DoCCE4U. Assuming, of course, your steps are DIF4U -> ReAuthorist -> DoCCE4U -> ReAuthorist -> Scenarist.

I think the question is: not process it, but still keep it 9uncompressed). If you unselect it a dummy will be created for it, which you don't want. I don't think it's possible right now. Maybe you can suggest it to the authors of the programs.

If you want to keep a PGC in a VTS unprocess, I think in "Global Options ->Other Options->Don't Encode .M2V less than", put in a value that is slightly higher than the size of the PGC you won't want to process in CCE. Then when DIF4U process the DVD, it will give the video file for that PGC a name with the word "no-cce" contains in it, and DoCCE4U or Re-authorist will not process that PGC in CCE.

Yes that would be an option, but that will mean that all m2v files smaller then that size will not be encoded, not just the PGC you want. (but if this is the only file it's a nice option)
