DIF4U says the avg. bitrate for my film is 4004, but reauthorist has given it 4058.Is this right, i mean dif4u giving one value and reauthorist giving another.

DIF4U v1.3.0.0
Reauthorist v 1.0.0.0

hi,

did you set the extras-bitrate to the same value in both programs? because if they differ in both programs, the values for the movie will be different also.

Never ajusted the extras bitrate as theres no extras to re-encode, just the main movie.

hi,

hmm, i don't know, why they would output different avg-values in that case. probably they use a different method for calculating the overhead, but i never had different avg-values from those two programs (but i didn't do many encodes using the big3, either).

it seems a problem with RA 1.0.0.0, i think it have a problem with the subtitles to make a right calculation... when doing something with +28 subs, my new dvd size is 4.980MB, so tooo big to fit the 4.700MB

ThanX...
