www.thenerds.net is a good place. It's where I got mine at for under $40.
EDIT: oops didn't see the "Im in the UK" part until after posting. But you can still see if they ship to you.

stick "firewire" in the Fast Search box at the top.
I have the Lucent 2/3 port. It has 2 external and 1 internal firewire port. If you use the internal one it disables one external so it's only really a 2-port card.
It has a floppydrive style power connector so you aren't powering external devices off your PCI bus and comes with drivers and a cable.
No software but if you already have capture software then no probs.
