Hi
I have recently tried to creat VCD from a video casset.
I captured the video throught the TVin on ASUS 6800.
the video is saved in an Asus spacial format.
After conveting the video to mpg file using the TMPGenc, the audio lost sync to the video.
The sync lost is not constant, sometimes is't forward, backward and not constant along the same file. That is the reason that a simple offset is not solving the problem.
The captured file are good sync, that's I can see with the VirtualDub after capturing the movie.

How can I solve this problem, and keep the audio sync ?
thank's

You may need to use what is called a Time Base Corrector. I have read that videotapes sometimes get stretched over time and this causes the kind of problem you see. I have never used one as I don't work with video tapes much and I never needed this. If you live in the USA, you may be able to get a Time Base Corrector at Radio Shack. A web search would certainly find one, but I have no idea about the cost.

As I told a first, the captured files are good synced and have now problem at all. the problem seemed to cause by the mpg encoder: TMPGenc.
