I have compressed 5 movies with DVD Shrink 3.0B5. And all stops after ca 75% in my standalone dvd-player. I did the same with DVD Shrink 2.3 and there was no error. Has anyone else the same problem?

AngelIce, how do your projects compare? Did you perform the same kind of operations in both versions?

I am wondering how your IFOs compare between your two trials.

I have written a rough O'Basic script (http://www.obasic.com) that dumps all IFO-related text from IFOedit into a text file. It's simply a keyboard macro that propogates through all of the IFO structures in IFOEdit and uses its Copy2Clipboard option to paste the information into Notepad.

Yes, I'm lazy, I know... ;)

If I want to compare the IFOs from two projects, I'll use this script to dump the information to two text files, then I load them up into a comparison utility, like Beyond Compare 32 (http://www.scootersoftware.com) and examine.

Let me know if you're interested - I can probably put the script up somewhere...

Gosh, its like cool water for a summer thirst . Can it be wrapped into an EXE?. ;)

Are you associated with the Airbus A380 program? Fedex is supposed to get those puppies in 2008 i think.

Nope, even I'd like to.
I just had the same idea long time ago, so I thought, they stole my idea, so I steal their Name ;-)
It's just my favorite plane, even thought it's not flying yet.

If, and that's a BIG if, Fedex gets it; I will be flying it.:D Be pretty sweet. On the MD11 now.

I'm sure they'll get some sooner or later.
The Cargo Version might be interesting for Fedex.
MD11? That's an "old" one. Haven't been on board of a plane of that type. So are you sitting in the front right or in the front left?

In FS2002 I was flying from Iceland to Greenland today with a Fedex Cessna Caravan :-)

They say its coming in a freight dog version from Airbus..yes, interesting it will be.

I'm sitting First Officer...right side. Its a 1990's jet...very automated. 630,500lbs max takeoff weight. Cool winglets on the tips of the wings...beautiful airplane!

FS2002 is alot of fun. Pretty demanding flight you had there up in the Great White North. Do you have all those addon's for flight planning and navigation? Have you checked out the new FS2003?

Yeah, you're right. OBasic will compile it's scripts to .EXEs if desired. I'll put a GUI on it and have it stream everything directly to a file rather than pasting into Notepad. Should run faster.

Maybe have it done by tomorrow...? :)

That's cool. I was sitting front right, too (In a Piper :) )
I don't have a license yet, but I'm going to get on, that's sure.
Don't have the time to do that at the moment.

1990? I thought it was older. Winglets are cool. It's amazing how huge they are on the 737 New Generation.

What I got is the Jeppessen charts of Europe from 1996, but the VOR's, DME's and NDB's are still the same. I got the complete pack of STAR's and SID's of FRA/EDDF (Frankfort) (the old one's again).
What I use when I'm flying somewhere else is FSNav V4.51 (addon)

And cause I want to fly an Airbus, I got the Phoenix A320 (sold by justflight). This package includes the A319, A320 and A321. It's really good. Can't bank the airplane too much, can't go to steeply up or down. Has all these GPRM's? "Pull up" "Too low, Gear" and so on.
Stall is possible, but in real Airbus it's not but that's an FS bug.
Also landing is good, approach, flare, landing....

I tried Wilcopub Airbus, but it only has a 3D cockpit and slows down my machine like nothing else -> slideshow flying :(

The Wilcopub 767 is really good, has a 2D cockpit besides the 3D one, so it's not a slideshow.

I tried some other Airport addons from Wilcopub, but what happens is, the airplane stops for about a minute when approaching the airport, cause all the data has to be loaded :(

I also got the PSS Dash 800, good flying. Can't get along with everything here yet, missing the type rating :)

Fs2003? I guess you mean FS2004. Well, I don't really like the FS2004.
It slows down everything, and these old planes, well I don't really like them anyway. The runway is all full of skidmarks not realistic.
At least they got Frankfort city at the right place now. In FS2002 Frankfort city is in Wiesbaden at the Rhein. Why do they think it's called Frankfort at the Main? You can check that. Frankfort is in the north east of the airport, or the airport is in the south west of Frankfort. So when you start from 25R/L after a minute or so you'll see 2 Towers of the Skyline. So flying to the east brings you to Frankfort, how wrong! ;) [I guess it depends on graphic details if it shows the skyline or doesn't..so if you can't see them you gotta pull the details up]

Sorry, JFerguson that i'am writting back so late. My internet connection was broken. Thanks for your help, but my problem is solved. In other standalone player my DVD-R's will run, which i've burned with DVD Shrink 3b5.

AngelIce...

But your v2.3 burns will play in both players?

One other thing I mention from time to time is to check the quality of your media / burns with Nero CD Speed v2.02 (www.cdspeed2000.com). Sometimes this is a factor (especially if you've changed media recently)...
