Well related again to another post i managed to get mpeg videos played, telecided, and audio from the evilmpa input.. its using 96% of my CPU though (2.8ghz P4)
I've just had a quick go..
bplayer playing the same mpeg2 files uses up 30% of CPU...
as soon as i go via MPEG2Source() and an avisynth (thats all it does, just loads the video) this goes up to 50%.
then i add the Telecide() call to phase align it (PAL video), and its up to 70%
Finally i add the audio stream, which takes ages to load initially (the sample script says it creates a temporary file so once its done this full scan once it dont do it again, this has not been the case for me, every time its loaded it takes an age) and its at near 100% cpu usage...
This sounds rather high, just for basic loading of video stream to add 20% on... is this normal?! its just someone (Donald Graft) said they had a machine with a 1900 XP chip that was capable of running his telecide plugin at realtime speeds...
Any tips for optimising all of this..!? options within bplay?
