Is anyone using BeAll media??
I was looking at vcdhelp.com and it seemed to get a lot of good reviews on there (mostly). I'm just curious because its a lot cheaper than Ritek G03's these days.
But being cheap isn't enough, it has to be decent quality...
I may order a 25 or 50 pack and try them out myself..but was hoping to save myself the cost of wasting time/money on media you guys have already determined aren't worth it.

One thing I don't get is why Princo is still popular....i had so many problems with it, as did others...its amazing it still sells!??

I have been using this media for a long time with few problems.
They play in every standalone I tried including the X-box.

I had a run of over 250 without a problem in two pioneer DVR-104 burners with firmware ver 1.33 unmodified.

About one month ago I ordered samsung branded silver tops which are the same media. The first 50 worked fine and two things happened. I upgraded my firmware to 1.4 in one burner and 1.41 in the other.
I then had 4 disks which did not play back properly. I downgraded my firmware in one drive back to 1.33 and now they playback OK. My one burnner at 1.41 is now not in use with this brand since I am unable to downgrade the firmware.

The point I`m making is these DVD-r`s seem to be pickey about firmware and this my apply also to the burner used. I think you should also ask what burner and firmware is in use. Riteks packaged as RIDATA don`t seem to care what firmware is in use.

Ordering online is so dependent on the integrety of the seller. I use meritline and so far have not been riped off. What they advertise is what you get.

I ordered more thanks to the new coupon at meritline.

I think we should compile a list of DVD`s, burner and firmware and our success rate. Then people may stop buying princo disks.

Meritline has a horrible reputation on this board :)

they're weird...for months I was ordering from them without problems, then suddenly I couldn't get a single order correctly process with them. Ironically the last problem I had was trying to get BeAlls from them. They just started carrying them and the idiots charged my credit card but didn't ship them! Then they said about 2 weeks later that they were out of stock on them. So I complained that if they were out of stock it was stupid to charge my credit card early! They took over a month to give me back my money and I never did get the BeAll's from them :)
