I am fairly new to this dvd burning but I have basically had nothing but success, until trying to backup my Aliens collection. I have used DVDXcopy Express with success. I have been trying a differnt way as I tend to notice the PQ loss on my HDTV. Process is as follows
Rip to iso with DVDDecryter
Mount image with Alcohol 120
Process "movie only" with DVD2DVDR
Author with SpruceUp
Burn with Nero6
Process was working well until the Aliens movies. I am getting a random fluttering in the video when played on my stand-alone (both of them). I tried watching on a pc with PowerDVD using both the disc and file-mode. I can see no stuttering this way, so I figure it is a burning problem. Try different media (DVD+RW), same result. Tried making titlesets back to image and then burned with DVDDecrypter, same thing. So I guess it is not Nero.
Is it something in the movies that is causing this?
In case it is needed, burner is a 106D Pioneer and Media is Leda 4x. This is the first problem I have had with the media or the burner since I started. I have burned alot of backups with 3 or 4 different programs without a problem till this.
