I had a worm virus yesterday (MSBLAST - Shutsdown XP systems) which I successfully removed with a tool from Norton.
Somethings changed somewhere though - when I open the Forum I have to log on! That used to be automatic. Also after writing a post I have to log on again to send it!
Any one know where to look for this setting ?
thanks

your browser cookies setting must allow "saving cookies" for this site.
If you're using IE, use Tools...Internet Options...Security.

Yes it is set that way - as before.
Somehow the behaviour is time limited which it wasn't before.
For instance:
On line for 30 mins after login, I send a post and get the message "you are not logged in" or similar so I have to log in again!
Whats the name of this cookie ? I'll search the HD for it.

I have no idea. If no one else responds to this, I recommend contacting Norton's tech support, and/or using a different browswer.

Yes you're probably right - its not the forums fault.
thanks anyway

Regarding your problem I'm sorry to say that I have no clue. :(

OK - solved it,
deleted (name)@forum.doom9[1].txt and then re-logged on.
Seems alright now.
