hello folks,

here is the competible chart for Matrix dvd-r 4x media from www.shop4tech.com and they are actually very cheap and had changed quite of bit from their last batch, perhaps you might want to check them out because they are the cheapest 4x media I had seen in overall for only $0.97 per unit for 100 pack and free shipping and handling.

Drive Write Speed

Toshiba SD-R5002 1X, with 1033 Version upgrade
TEAC DV-W50E 1X, 2X, 4X, with 1.30 Version upgrade
CenDyne DVR-105 EIDE 1X, 2X, 4X
Panasonic LF-D311 1X, 2X
Panasonic LF-D521; HL-DT-ST GMA-4020B 1X, 2X
Panasonic DMR-E20/30 1X
Panasonic DMR-HS2 1X
Panasonic SuperBurner II SW-9571-CYY 1X, 2X
Pioneer DVR-103/A03 1X, 2X, with 2.0 Version upgrade to 2X
Pioneer DVR-104/A04 1X, 2X, with 1.4 Version upgrade to 2X
Pioneer DVR-A05/105/106 1X, 2X, 4X
Pioneer DVR-7000 1X,
Pioneer DVR-9000 1X,
Sony DRU-500A 1X, 2X

I had some bad experience on their batch, but they had send me the new batch for testing, which I thought you all might want to check them out especially those whom have pioneer 105 and 106 because this media really work great for these drives.

I've just ordered that media from shop4tech as well as a dvr-106 drive from newegg.com then I saw your post.

How are the disks working out for you?
