Hey all.

I used oggmux to mux an avi, 2 oggs, an srt subtitle file, and a chapter list to 2 ogm files.

However i screwed up the size (now 3 files) and thanks to ibm's incredibly reliable hdds i lost the originals after muxing. However the mux is wrong. So:

Is there a way to rip the sound video and chapters out of the file into originals ?

I can get the video out using virtualdubmod but that's about it. Alternatively is there a tool i can use to paste 3 ogms together into one again so i can split them at the correct size cutoff ?

Well, you can build a graph manually in GraphEdit and disconnect everything from the Ogg splitter, then connect the video to an avimux dsf (interleave set to full), after that a filewriter. for the audio tracks, use oggmuxer dsf, after that filewriter.

I fear the subs are going to be lost though, i have no idea how to put them in a file again.

Koepi

Has some ogg tools on it, one of which is the OGMDemuxer. It will be a commandline tool, so Im not sure how easy you'll find it to use.

I might (or hopefully someone else) could whip up a little GUI for it ? to make it easier to use...

There is already a GUI for this : virtualDubMod!

k Thanks i was looking at this before but i would have liked another alternative. In the end it was kinda easy:

demux everthing.
check the video and crop bits so it doesn't have a repeat, merge together.
Do the same for audio (sound forge)
do the same for subtitles
i really cbf about the chapters at this point i'll be happy as long as i get this cursed movie of my computer.

All in all took about 2 hours :S
