Hi, i recently installed a Pioneer 1.06 in my new pc.
But i have problems ripping anything in DVD decryptor 3.1.6

My pc is a dual xeon Intel E7505 chipset with the newest Intel 5.0 chipset drivers and the newest IO-drivers.

The firmware on the drive is 1.22
It happenes to whatever region zone and whatever dvd in the same zone... and the strange thing is that it works in eg.. Smart ripper!!

Any idea?

I get the following error when i try to decrypt:

I/O error!
Device 3:1:0 Pioneer dvd-rom dvd-106 1.22 (e:)

Scsistatus: 0x02
Interpretation: Check Condition

CDB: 28 00 00 01 D2 B3 00 00 01 00

I also have a problem using DVD Decrypter (version 3.1.6.0) with my pioneer dvd drives.

I get the error:

"I/O Error!

Device: [2:1:0] PIONEER DVD-ROM DVD-116 1.09 (G:)

CDB:28 00 00 00 27 49 00 00 20 00
Interpretation: Read (10) - Sectors: 10057 - 10088

The Reason: The parameter is incorrect."

I have 2 systems with this DVD drive, and one with a Toshiba. DVD Decrypter works perfectly on the Toshiba, but brings up the error with the same dvds on both pioneer drives. I'm sure its just a compatibility problem that will be squashed in future versions of Decryptor.

TEB,

As with all errors my program gives you, that is what the drive is returning. As you can see, yours is an Ultra DMA related issue.
This is generally down to drivers. I bet if you'd just stuck with the standard windows ones, it would have worked fine.

aaronp,

Your drivers probably dont support 64k transfers. Go into the settings and tell the program to use 32k instead.

That seemed to fix it, thanks!
