Hi, I have DVD-player ONKYO DV-S525 and I’m looking for a way to play DVD+R on my standalone DVD-player. I tried but without success.
I used DVD Decrypter to decrypt. I needed to add subtitles and I used Vobedit v.0.6, IfoEdit v. 0.95, than I created DVD Image (ImgTools v. 0.9 – UDF/ISO mode).
I burned (SONY DRU-500A, DVD+R Fuji and Verbatim) all with DVD Decrypter and nothing :-). Now I try to make DVD+R with Nero 6.0 and burn with UDF mode. Maybe someone have the same problem with ONKYO. I’m sorry for my English ;).

Hi!

It seems, that your DVD-player isn't able to play DVD+R/Ws without the DVD-ROM flag, which you can set with the tool "bitsetter". But it only works for ricoh-built drives, not with your Sony.
You can see a compatibilitylist with this link:
http://www.dvdplusrw.org/resources/compatibilitylist_dvdvideo.html

Your only options are, to check out DVD-Rs or buy a new DVD-Player.
