View Full Version : Muxing subtitles into OGM using Virtualdubmod

I usually create ogm's using ogmmux as it works well for most of my needs. In this particular case I'm using virtualdubmod. I take my xvid stream, an AC3 stream and a subtitle .srt stream and mux it all together. I then try to play the .ogm file in WMP and it crashes "Invalid access to memory location". I can play all ogm files I make with ogmmux so I've got to be doing something wrong with virtualdubmod (version 1.5.1.1a btw). Any ideas?

Also, the only problem I have with ogmmux is that it doesn't do ac3 unless you convert the ac3 to an ac3-wave file. I tried that one time using headache and it increased the size of the audio stream quite a bit which was, obviously, undesirable.

Any suggestions on either problem would be appreciated.

@fizgig10: if you look at the first post of the thread called OGM Development there is my branch version of OggMux, which allows you to mux ac3 directly (without having to make a ac3 wav file).

I hope that helps :)
