Dear LIGHTNING UK.

I almost feel too embarrassed to ask this question.

I have a PAL copy of Planet of the Apes, which I've ripped before without any problems using previous versions of your software.

However, today when I tried and save it as a 'continuous vob file', using the newest version of your software. I also got all these dosey 'Director and Actor comment boxes'!

I don't think I'm having one of my good days. I knew things were going to go wrong, right after I took a shower this morning with my sun glasses on!

I know... too much info!

So what am I doing wrong please?

Maybe you should try enabling stream processing and remove them from the video stream.

Thanks for the reply,

I am actually doing that already. It's also set to create a 'Direct Stream Copy' And I only select the 'Video' and 6Ch Audio' streams.

The application is currently set up under 'Mode' to 'IFO I'.

And under 'Tools' 'Settings' 'IFO Mode' 'Options', I've set the 'File Splitting' to 'None'.

I've ripped many non multi angle/interactive DVD using this mode and all without a hitch. But no joy this time!

It's got to be something that's too obvious for me to get my head round.......... I'm having one of those weeks!

comment 'boxes' ?

You mean stuff actually came up on the screen? (ie. it wasnt just the audio you heard).

Ok, you might need to disable the 'Remove PUOs' option in the IFO tab in the settings. Try that and re-rip the disc.

You've got it.

Little rectangular boxes with 'red boarders'. Very off putting indeed. Unless it's Estella Warren ofcourse!

AaaHa!

Just thought you would like to know.

When the application reads the DVD the 'Input' box lists the following: -
VTS_02 +
PGC 1[01:55:01]
PGC 2[01:55:15]
PGC 3[00:00:26]

For me, the application highlighted - PGC 2[01:55:15] as default. And it would seem that this is where the comment boxes problem arises. As you need to highlight - PGC 1[01:55:01].

Cheers
