Hi!
My friend borrowed me some dvd's, wich are unfortunately NTSC. I would like to pack them to xvid and watch them on my television with tv-out, without having to accelerate them to 25fps.
So does anyone have any idea how should I do this. There was an option like this in dvd2svcd, but I'm not too familiar with it.

the only good way to do it is to inverse telecine the DVD, so that way you get 23.976 fps movie and then you play it at 25 fps. If you do not want to accelerate anything, then you might see some choppiness in your movies because only 1 frame per second is going to get repeated, which will be quite disturbing to anyone's eyes.
BTW, all PAL DVDs are those exact NTSC FILMs that just get accelerated by 4%. Those 4% is not a big deal IMO.

First of all use avisynth.
Assuming it's a 23.976 (FILM), the best thing is to use assumefps(25) rather than convertfps (using forced film in dvd2avi or telecide according to the particular case -- see the guides/faqs/threads etc about this)... and then use Besweet to accelerate the sound using the NTSC 23.976 to PAL preset (it still sounds ok).
If it's a VIDEO 29.x rather than FILM you'll get funny audio if you accelerate the audio, so it'll be best to use convertfps(25)... it does blur some bits but to me the blurring was rare thankfully.. and you leave the sound as it is with no change.

Or use a dedicated audio processor such as cooledit/sounforge and speed up audio while preserving pitch/tempo. Works fine for me.
