OK, this might sound crazy, but is there anybody(some standards body, I mean) writing an IFO/VOB like language/structure for mpeg-4 content? I know mpeg-4 was supposed to be for web streaming and stuff. But what stops it from replacing mpeg-2 on standalone players with all the good navigation and menus etc.? Is there a technical reason for not going there? Or am I the only one who doesn't know it exists already?

I would love to be able to have four movies with all the menus and stuff on one dvd. And play anywhere with those cute little upcoming PVPs!

You are asking about mp4 container. I don't think you should be asking here ;) People on 'new a/v formats' might know more.

OK, it seems that I was the one who didn't know it already is in the works...:D

MCF is probably what I was trying to arrive at. Great!
