OK, I have tried and tried so now I need help.
I have gotten paranoid and now back up my dvds to isos with dvd decryp. Works great. play back using daemon tools etc.

To back up from isos, i use dvdxcopy and it gets split to 2 dvd5's. This works OK but not perfect. dvdxcopy does not put the jacket folder or other extras on the backups.

Would like to use ifoedit to split to 2 dvd5's. Seems silly to use dvdxcopy just to split already decryp isos.

When use ifoedit the disc 1 and disc 2 folders have files in them but the menus do not seem to work.

Have resorted to copying orig ifos from the iso to the files and this usually works for disc 1. cannot make this work on disc 2

Help please what am I missing here. I am sure there is something more I need to read. willing to learn, please point me in the right direction.

Thanks!

Pls visit the ifo/vob editors forum and search study the threads about a year ago that dealt with the 2nd disk problem quite extensively. U can also visit the guide page (http://www.doom9.org/doc-overview.htmg) in our site for ifoedit guides as well as the author's guide page (http://mpucoder.kewlhair.com/derrow/guides.html)

@dvdgrrl

Why are you having so much problems? :confused: I have been using the Doom's guide for ages when I was into splitting my DVDs. Of course, that was when transcoding programs like DVD2One wasn't around. The only user I know that really loves doing splits is Josh. He even has a thread on all his DVDs that he has succesfully splitted. He often updates his first post in his thread (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=48105&perpage=20&pagenumber=1). Josh is currently, "The Split Master", in my opinion.:D

Of course, we and others can help you out in your splitting dilemna if you would just post much needed information in the proper forum, which is IFO/VOB Editors.
