Hello all,

I'm new to DVDR burning and one thing that some people have told me is that they can't play DVDs that were created using Nero only RecordNow. Other people have said that they can't play DVDs that were burned using RecordNow only Nero. As some of you may know, you can't install both programs on your computer because they are incompatible with each other.

I have been using Ulead Movie Factory on some of my DVDs and I was just wondering if anyone has had any compatability issues with their DVD players with this software?

If so, does anyone know of a DVD burning software that has the most compatability with DVD players?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Jay

My personnal view (and use) is nero+imgtool.
But as I said it about 10 000 times, you may think I am a shareholder of Coujo Company ? Humm? and not at all, more as there is no Coujo company and the soft is just free !

Some later versions of Nero 5.5 didn't create DVD Video discs properly but I think this was fixed in 5.5.10.42. The work-around was to use UDF(ISO) using UDF 1.02 and a Physical Partition.

Not sure what you're talking about with RecordNow and Nero not being incompatible cos I've had both insatlled for ages (with Nero 5.5 and the new version 6) and had no problems with either.

Compatibility varies depending on what player you have - you have to either speak to someone with the same player or find out for yourself what works best for you. Get yourself a DVDRW disc and have a play around. I personally have used Nero, Ulead and ImgTools but found no difference between any of them - they all worked.

Nice Idea - CouJo Co. :D !

...but who will work for free for any company...? I think only myself and therefor there will never be a CouJo Co.
...but really nice that you promote my software.

Thanx!
