When I back up my dvds, I normally just decrypt using dvd decrypter and then drag everything to a VIDEO_TS folder and burn. Lately, I've being using dvd decrypter to burn an iso image if the movie was 4.37 or<. The first few worked great but now I've noticed skipping on a couple of them. Actually, one of them froze. I might have to go back to my old way of doing it, but I liked the iso image method because it was suppose to be an exact 1:1 copy and was very simple.
Question, what could be causing this? I create an iso image and burn it via dvd decrypter. If the original disk had a small scratch, would a complete iso image still be created? I do surf the web sometimes when I create the image or burn it, could this be doing it, or could it be the dvd decrypter burning engine? As always, thank you.
what I use:
Pioneer A05
dvd decrypter
Recordnow Max 4.5
