Hi, I have a few movies like goodfellas, amadeus, and the godfather 2 that are either double-sided or 2 dvds of the same exact movie. How exactly they are split up is not relevant here, they all have menus with unique chapter selections on each "side" or "disc." I used the "flipper" method found at http://ifoedit.wh.fr0zen.com/joinclip.html#joindbl
but found limited success. Goodfellas, which I tried it on, played the menu file incorrectly and displayed Francais on top of the movie until I pressed stop and resumed it (presumably the layer was left on top for some reason of decoding).
I have read bits and pieces about advanced editing with menuedit, and I am wondering if there is a way to join the vobs into the same pgc (I was thinking of just combining them with scenarist somehow) and adding the extra scene selections in the second menu to the first menu. If this is not possible, maybe I can put both sides on one dvd and act like I have 2 dvds on one (as I have heard of this before). Certainly by now what is plaguing my mind is apparent, help is most appreciated.

I'm trying to do Amadeus also. I ripped both sides into different folders. I've tried several things, none have worked. I renamed the vobs from the side B to be in numerical order with side A and put them in the same folder. I removed everything eles IFO, BUP, etc. so all the folder had was VOBS. Then with IFOedit tried creating new IFO files which it did. It seems to play in PowerDVD just fine. Now to DVDshrink 2.03 to reauthor and compress to make the whole movie fit on 1 DVD5. During analysis I get a Windows runtime error and DVDshrink closes. Damn!

Let me know if you figure it out.
