XVID to MPEG

I've tried many encoders so that I can take my Xvid Avi file and encode to mpeg but none seem to work well. TMPGenc takes too long and never seems to come out right. CCE is real quick but many Xvids don't work. Aare AVI to DVD chokes on most Xvids and if it does work, takes almost 24 hours.
Honestly, as crappy as Nero DVD 6 is, it will at least work. Ideally I'd like to use DVD Lab since I can make custom menus but for now, I'm open to suggestions.

Try DVD2SVCD.
It can convert avis as well as DVDs.
However, DVD2SVCD uses CCE or TMPGENC ...
Try the DVD2SVCD Forum or one of Doom9s guides.

Also, you seem to be violating forum rule #6...
