Sorry if this sounds like a dumb newbie question.
In DVD2AVIT3, the default, or when you select TV in the Clip Resize section, sets a resolution of 720x360. What is the purpose of this, when a TV is 720x480. I read the Aspect Ratio guide and other forum sites and there was no mention of 720x360 for TV. Wouldn't 16:9 be a higher number for the height than 360. Shouldn't I just leave it at 720x480 and let the DVD resize it, as long as I encode it in 16:9 and set the DVD player to 16:9. Sorry if I sound totally ignorant on this. Thanks for the help.

It's been that way for as long as I can remember. I think it is some compromise between what it thinks the aspect ratio is and what will fit on the screen. And it's never right for my HDTV clips. I just always hit reset.

I wish someone would explain it. ;)

Thanks for the info. Too bad I never bothered to check those settings before. Now I have a bunch of backups that will be all stretched out on HDTV. :( Great to see you finally got a website up with your filters. :)
