Nero burning problem

I have a strange problem with Nero 5.5.10.35. When I burn DVD´s with my pioneer dru-510a firmware 1.0c using Datawrite 4x dvd-r it seems like it only burn in 2x though the program says its writing in 4x. It autosenses the record and automatically suggests the fastest speed (4x) when im about to burn and when its finished writing it says "burn successfully completed at 4x" but it takes about 30 min eg. 2x speed.
Anyone have a Clue??

I belive that you could find the answer your self, I think you mean Sony not Pioneer.

The Sony´s, some work in 4x some don´t unless you don´t buy verbatim branded discs (not very cheap).

I sold my 2 months old Sony dru 500a(x)(tried everything pio, dma, clean install xp you name it, fw´s everything, only worked whith verbatim in 4x).

Got a Pioneer 106, now I´m smiling.
