Confused on DVD2AVI, DVD9 backup

im trying out the Doom9 guide on backing up a DVD9 to DVD5 using CCE and DVD Maestro. the problem is the guide skips the steps where you use DVD2AVI and Avisynth.

i've spent the past 40-60 minutes trying to figure out how to do what the guide skips. i can't get my .avs file to load. it says something about the frame size not supported.

can a kind user out there please fill me in on these 2 steps that i don't know how to do. it would help me out immesnsly.

I assume you're talking about this guide (http://www.doom9.org/mpg/maestro2.htm) and if you read it again, you'll find a link with the text “Getting the best out of CCE” (http://www.doom9.org/mpg/cce-advanced.htm). That document will give you all necessary info, or link you to the correct places.

And spending 40-60 minutes to find out how to do something new isn't that much really. I had lot's of experience of DivX and had read everything I could find about DVD9->DVD5 conversions before even buying a DVD-recorder.
