Just downloaded my update & to my surprise it looks like Xpress will now do entire Disks as well as letting you choose menu's and subtitles. I am trying it right now & I will report back as to it's strengths and weaknesses.

The First disk I tried (Executive Decision) worked great. It starts out just like a standard Xcopy Xpress movie....however you can hit MENU with your remote and go to the chapter you want etc. So far so good. I am now trying Disk 1 of Deep Space Nine Season 3. It sure would be nice if it does these. I especially want to back up these and my Babylon 5 disks. Anyway, so far so good.

Just Did Disk 1 of Season 3 of Deep Space 9, All Menu's Etc. It Worked Perfectly and the quality is great. It took all of 40 minutes to do it all. ( I have an Abit AT7 Max2 Motherboard with an Athlon 2600+ 1.5 Gig of Ram and just over 700 Gig of Hard Drive Space.) I used My Sony (DRU500A) DVD Writer and copied it from my Plextor (PX504A) DVD writer. I must say this was an impressive free upgrade. At least I assume it was free. As far as I'm concerned they have delivered even more than I paid for. Kudo's to 321 Studios. It works BETTER than advertised.

One thing I don't like about it is that it does not let you deselect audiotracks...that can be used for better video quality.

I have backed up at least 20 Movies. The only one that didn't work right off was Gods & Generals. I think it was because it was so long. I did it without the Menu's & it worked fine. I don't know why Cats & Dogs didn't work for you but so far Xpress has been working flawlessly for me. I did my entire Deep Space 9 Collection Seasons 1 through 3 (season 4 comes out Aug. 5th.) It did them all with all of the menu's and extra's. I did have to reboot each time between those copies however, I think that a software buffer somewhere doesn't quite empty out. I did send an email to 321 and the answer was that Xpress was not really meant for episodic disks as they are authored in different ways. Well it lets me do my disks in under 45 minutes and that is a HUGE time saver over instant copy and some others I have used. The Quality was Excellent as well. I have Cats & Dogs & I will try to copy it and let you know how it works.

I tried it and the quality looks pretty good but the disc size came in at 4.12 Gb which was a pity as the original was nearly 8 Gb and it could probably do with all of the space available. Maybe a red herring but whilst using it I lost use of my usb wireless mouse as well as my usb adsl modem. Both were fine after rebooting.

I did notice that it does put that annoying warning at the beginning by adding it to the end of VIDEO_TS.VOB. If you open up VIDEO_TS.IFO in ifoedit, go to VMGM_MAT then First Play PGC and PGC Command Table you can just direct it back to the correct place.
