MiniMV vs MiniDV

Anyone got any experience in the quality differences between MiniDV and MiniMV?

You probably mean microMV. MicroMV is a format invented by Sony that records in mpeg-2. The advantage of mpeg is that it takes a lot less space than DV. The disadvanatge is that mpeg is harder to edit than DV and is also lower quality.The other disadvantage is that microMV is a less popular format than DV (which means that not all software recognize microMV camcorders). When deciding between the two formats, I did not hesitate to choose DV given DV's proven track record.
