1st better use DVDDecrypter instead of Smartripper
2nd try to synch it with synchronizer
3rd check that input = output audio sample rate
could also be a problem of the source e.g. text or a small intro without sound before the main movie,...

Your knowledge seems to be impressive matey;
Yes, there is separate intro (Black Hawk Down).
Did also test and made a divx-movie with 48k sound and no problems; sound was sync. If I try to convert it to 44,1k it is not... Is it bossible to correct it for Xmpeg or Am I way off the line...?
DVDDecrypter? Never tried one... maybe I should.
Tnx:)

Nope there's nothing that can be done with xmpeg there, downsampling from 48 to 44.1kHz audio is an old known bug of Flaskmpeg/Xmpeg. So downsampling in Xmpeg causes an interleave in the audio, that normally can be fixed with synchronizer. (but if you don't have to sample down to 44.1kHz I would recommend not to do it)
Intro's can cause a delay of the audio, which can only be fixed by delaying the audio stream. If you to for avi as output, you can later fix this with virtualdubmod (see the guides) or the synchronizer. It's a lot of try and error, first you delay the audio until it's synch at the beginning of the movie, and if you still got some sort of 'growing' delay, you interleave it until it's synch.
In general I would recommend to not use Xmpeg for the audio processing. Better use BeSweet and mux audio&video later with e.g. VirtualDubMod or avimux.

Ps.: There's an official Xmpeg (Windows)help file at:

which might be of interrest for you.

Well, I think I can live with 48k audio; Like I have done it allways... actually few years ;). Just curious if there was improvement for easy backup method. I loose My temper with those complicate programs like Gordian Knot... lol. Actually tried it once but not really worth the trouble.
And now that You mentioned Virtualdub... I have used it only for splittig movie, can it also join 2 or more avi mpeg etc movies?

joining multiple avi files should work fine with VirtualDubMod ;)
(If they are encoded with the same codecs and resolution.)
