View Full Version : Not able to decrypt a DVD

Hello guys

I'm trying to decrypt a DVD but everytime I get a problem... With Smart Ripper, it starts decrypting normally but then some broken blocks appear and the program freezes...
On vStrip, it doesn't even start decrypting. I mean, when I click RUN, the ETA appears but then the program freezes again. I have authenticated the drive, BTW..
And one strange problem that happens is that when I play that disc, it plays as it should until chapter 15 or so, where the player also hangs...
The DVD-Disc is a Region Free Disc, and I have already decrypted other DVDs in my life and this disc plays normally on my home theather's DVD.
I don't think that this is a problem with my driver, as other DVDs play.

Does anyone knows what might be the problem?

Thanks
bye

Im guessing your drive cant read the disc.
Is it dirty/scratched at all?
If not, its probably faulty. Take it back and have it exchanged.

Standalone players will play everything and anything so dont go by what it can/cant play as good/bad discs.
