hello,

i made a backup (CCE). so far so good. burnt the dvd but it doesnt play in my standalone. it goes to STOP immediately even though it recognizes the DVD.

works fine when i drag&drop the IFO in WinDVD. ok so i thought sth. went wrong with the authoring. i launched Ifo Edit and used Get VTS, it found 3 or 4 errors and i made new IFOs. burnt the DVD, now my standalone doesn't stop but stays at 1-1 and doesn't go on.

I figure the VOBs must be ok since winDVD plays them .. how can i create working IFOs with Ifo Edit from them (or fix the existing ones?).

Thanks a bunch, this is driving me crazy :)

u haven't ifoupdated the new ifos with the cell commands of the originals. That is why u can't start the dvd.

There is a thread about ifoupdate in dvd authoring and advanced forum.

Actually i used another way to correct the problem in the mwanwhile. I used dvdshrink and reauthored the DVD, but cut off a few frames from the end so that dvdshrink rebuilt everything. works perfect :)
