View Full Version : Lowest Compression Useable In Instantcopy?
Just curious, what the lowest compression you have used succesfully with Instantcopy? I've been wondering if the title would still be watchable at about 10% or even if it would play right.
I always use 40% compression for extras. I take the difference and put it towards the main movie. Even at 40%, the extras are very watchable.
The smallest title I've used 40% on is 70MB.

isn't 30% the minimum anyway?
Your right, 30% is the minimum. Guess I'll give that a shot next time.

i have found that 30% can cause problems with some dvd players ie/ page flipping or even froze up
as in cyberhome 512
but sony 305 mico worked fine

Regarding drphobus's remark...my Apex AD-1500's (I have 2) don't like the Still Pictures mode from DVDShrink. Black screen when played, unless I fast forward, and then the scenes will display. I notice in PowerDVD that these segments run about .5Mbit.
Doesn't seem to bother my Panasonic players.
Is it true that some players have a certain intolerance for bitrates at either end of the spectrum?

Supposedly some DVD players will not play below 300kbps.
