I seems that DV capture using Adobe Premier or window movie maker via firewire card will have dropped frames problem when RECLOCK is enabled.

Disable reclock will quickly solve the problem.

Anybody got the same problem?

Hi,
I'm sure this won't help, but I've posted here regarding capturing via firewire and using WMMII. I ended up with about half the expected file size. A reply came through stating to disable "indexing" on the destination drive.
I have what I am assuming are dropped frames ( approx half of the hour D8 tape? ) using Windows Movie Maker II.
The reply to my post did not mention "reclock". Is it a setting in WMMII? This may also be my problem too.
I'm capturing D8 tapes from my Sony camcorder, ultimately trying to get two one hour tapes on to one DVD.
I captured in WMMII at the DV-AVI setting, and the file should have been approx. 14 GB. Turned out video and audio were very choppy and the file size and duration were around half of what they should have been.
I apologize for the boring newbie details.

ps. I captured in the manner above and ended up with a non-choppy, 14GB file before I added a second hard drive.....
