1. Selfripped material
DID IT EVER OCCURE TO YOU THAT YOU CAN RIP YOUR OWN DVD's because you are maintaining a movie server in your house?
2. Downloaded material
YOU MAY WONDER BUT THERE EXIST LEGAL DIVX/XVID downloads
i.e. http://indigen.free.fr/
SO BEFORE YOU CLOSE A THREAD WHY DON'T YOU START THINKING
AND ASK THE PERSON FIRST????
This is my attitude of curse - I don't know about you...

In the thread that oddyseus closed, you neither stated that you were working with a freely downloaded file nor supported that statement. The forum rules are firm on how we deal with dl'ed files, and as Moderators, we're under obligation to carry out said rules. Oddyseus was correct in his actions, and I'll point you to the forum rules once more. Pay particularly close attention to the fourth one. You've also broken several of the others.

my remarks wasn't for your self ripped material, it was about your downloaded movies.
Ofcourse I know that there r sites that offer free movies, u may perform a search in google, it will return 11 pages full of free movies to download. Ofcourse all of them r of a specific nature, highly inappropriate for young kids but then ofcourse u r not one.
The indigen site has only one movie to download, 5mins in duration that took them 6 months to put together.
SO BEFORE YOU CLOSE A THREAD WHY DON'T YOU START THINKING
AND ASK THE PERSON FIRST????
Thinking? I was thinking. I thought that it is impossible to ask 34000 members in this board if the stuff they r talking about is legal or not, provided ofcourse that all of them will start making such posts. I think that it is THEIR DUTY to post in a unambiguous way, especially when their posts contains such hot remarks.
We value this board too much. It is our duty to protect it. If indeed u have nothing to feel guilty for, pls accept my apologie. I do expect from u a more responsible attitude in your posts.
This thread has broken too many rules. Lets close the subject and consider the incident over.

I see your point. I could fully understand your reaction if I had posted direct/indirect links or even hints of any kind to any illegal material. But I did'nt even talk about a specific movie which could be copyright protected. So I would really like to know where you saw/assumed the problem? I'm not new to webboards and value the hard work of the admins that keep them up!! That is why I pay close attention not to post anything which could cause them problems. I hope I clarified my point, too.
Apologies accepted,
Sven.

Well the AC3 audio is a bit of a give away the only reason divx movies generally comes with AC3 is that the audio originally came from a dvd ok its possible it came from a non copyrighted dvd but its doubtful at best.
