unsupported files

I have been dowloading videos and burning them on disks for my dvd player, everything was ok until i got a message like this while analyzing the file, i am on nero,the message reads:dvdrip.dix-clx.avi.Unsupported file format.can you help please

Not only rule #6, but why in the world post in this forum? This is for "Site Suggestions & Help", which means help using the features of the forum or navigating the site, and suggestions on how to improve it.
