Is there a DVD2AVI version (1.76 compatible) which displays the time of the current frame when previewing or moving through the video with the trackbar?
If not ... would someone be able to implement this into a 1.76 compatible version?
And maybe a time (or frame) entry box so you can jump accurately to a certain time / frame.
I would find this very useful for accurately selecting the start frame and end frame of a project.
thanks

PS : Would anyone esle find this useful?

It would be nice to have a time display, but donīt forget that you
can trimm your encoded video losless in VirtualDub afterwards.

The closest you get at present is hitting [F6] to bring up the statistics window. Then when you move the slider you get to see the GOP timecode. Doing it accurately wouldnt be too hard without decoding the whole movie. Also in DVD2AVI at present there are only 500 places you can move that track bar to select a place in the movie (I-Frame only).
It is one of those things thats better to create a d2v and an avs file then do the trimming in VirtualDub.
Sorry thats not much help,

OK I'll have to do it as you say with VDub.
I just thought it might be a good idea to be able to do accurate projects within DVD2AVI, without having to do the extra steps in VDub.

You could make it I-Frame accurate in DVD2AVI, but not more so. Also you could not jump to a certain time in the MPEG-2 in a lot of cases. (TimeCodes rarely start from 0:00:00 and often loop or have parts inserted in them).
