OK..I have been reading the postes for a bout a week now and I think I am ready. Let me make sure I get this process correct:

1. Use DVD Shrink to create an image file small enough to fit on one DVD
2. Burn it to disk using Nero (or similar)

Is it just that simple..I am going to test this out using the Matrix and have read both of the guides on the site (Nero and DVD Shrink).

Instead of using Nero can I use DVD Dycryptor to burn the file?

My goal is to get a region-free DVD that will work on my pc and standalone DVD player.

Thanks,
Frank

Good luck, especially with the Matrix.

I should worn u though that The Matrix is a multiangle project and possibly dvdshrink wont give u the result u want.

Your procedure is right and it should work with most of the titles out there. Don't be disappointed if it doesn't work with all of them.

If u use imgtools to make the image, u may skip the Nero burn and use decrypter instead.

Does ImgTools allow you to shrink the larger files down to fit on one disk?

Is there a better way to copy the Matrix?

U missunderstood me. Imgtools is used to make a burnable image of an allready shrinked dvd to a dvd-r, usually using decrypter.

Matrix, as soom9 said, is the mount Everest in dvd authoring. There is no easy way to reauthor it. It requires skills, knowledge and a lot of patience. I haven't tried it yet.
