Hey,

I'm having a problem with capturing using iuvcr - but only if iuvcr crashes before the end of the capture - I can't open the resulting avi with anything, e.g. virtualdub complains that it cannot determine the file type. Is there any utility i can use to try and repair the file, I've already tried divfix and a couple of others - but the same problem there, "not an avi file"...

Cheers

Darned iuvcr :)

I figured out a workaround - tell iuvcr to split the avi file into maximum segments of 1 min / 64mb, and the most you'll lose is the last minute of video...

A little vb script to generate an avisynth script will jam the avi's together, and then you're cookin with grease...

Have you tried to repair with avipreview? Or use videolan/vlc to view your incomplete file?
