Can I playback 48kHz audio on an old SB16 card? Is there any realtime re-sampler?
Thanks,
Teoren

I owned such a card some years ago. Well, I could watch DVD movies on my PC with PowerDVD (ah, good old times). I guess (I'm not sure about that) that Soundblaser 16 will only play back 44,1 kHz. So if you find a recent driver that works with your OS, resampling should be done by the driver (or the card). Anyhow, only experiment will show...

Yes, SB16 can play 44,1 kHz sound only. When I try to play a move with 48 kHz the sound quality is very bad. The resampling is done but very badly. Could it be better?

I don't think so. I guess it is a rather antique piece of hardware :)

You must use dshow driver, not vxd driver (W95-compliant). DirectShow has a resample layer (automatic conversion).

How can I do that?
