why does is skip on standalone and not PC

ok guys i;ve been having this problem where all the backups i do skip on my dvd player and my sisters and just about everywherei try it. i used different media and different burning programs but still skips one bit. also when i used dvdxcopy and also did the manual rip with dvddecrypter and dvd2one and either way it would skip anyone know why it does this?

Hello and welcome to the forum.

There is something wrong with your encodes. Properly done encodes don't skip. PC dvd players r much more forgiving in structural errors than standalones, that is why on pc they play flawesly but not on a standalone.

U have to provide some more info and details on the procedure u used in order to be able to help. Guides r not perfect. Every one that rights a guide has a much deeper knowledge on the subject than the person who reads them. Therefore tiny details might be skipped cause they r regarded as trivial. These details however can be the key to success or failure.

first i extract it with smartripper i use the backup option than used dvd2one and than burn>?

Your procedure has nothing wrong in it. Maybe the disc can't be handled correctly with dvd2one. Try dvdshrink with the same movie and report back if the problem persists.
