In production houses do they get some other special format for sound for DTS encoding or is it the same Hi-8 tape* that they use for Dolby Digital 5.1 but just encode it as DTS.
(* The common format for a sound source delivery for Dolby Digital 5.1 is a Hi-8 tape recorded in Tascam DA88 DTRS deck.)
