I'm still working on my Buffy DVDs and I'm a little bit confused here cause I'm not sure how I made it work some time ago. I've tried both Smartripper and DVD Decrypter to rip a single Buffy episode to DVD and watch it from there with Power DVD XP. Both rip the ep just fine with all streams and I can work on it from there on but I just can't watch em.

I've then ripped the very same ep from HD to my other HD with DVD2ONE using zero compression and only then I can watch the ep. The same goes for ripping the ep straight from DVD with DVD Shrink. Does this mean that both Smartripper and DVD Decrypter do not change the ifos of the ripped eps accordingly so the eps still are part of several eps and therefore can't be played alone?

Problem for me is that DVD2ONE does not rip straight from DVD and DVD Shrink does sometimes lockup so I'm looking for another way to rip single eps...

Try using Chopper XP from http://www.digital-miner.com

You got it,man!!!
I think you have to create new IFO files with IFOEdit. Then paste subtitles' colours from the original VTS_01_0.IFO into your new VTS_01.0.IFO, otherwise you'll get green and fuzzy subtitles. Finally click on "Get VTS sectors".
It should work. ;)
