I have a Divx AVI file with DTS 5.1 audio. How do I make it play. I have Ac3 Filter but ofcourse it only handles Ac3, and I have tried WinDVD Platinum 4 and 5 (with audio booster packs and so forth) but it's DTS decoder refuses to kick in (except when playing DTS encoded DVDs ofcourse), any help woul dbe appreciated.

Gabest's AVI<->AC3/DTS Filter (http://www-user.tu-chemnitz.de/~noe/Video-Zeug/AVIMux%20GUI/DTS.zip)

with these filters registered, i do get playback of the dts audio within an avi, but the sound is marred by cutouts, speed issues, and very bad sync problems. i tried interleaving every 1 frame, every 32 ms (works well for me with ac3) to no avail. any idea how to get this to work well?

thanks
kevin

What program did you use to mux it?
Which player do you use?

BTW, AC3 set to 32ms will lead to machine gun noise on several AC3 decoders.

muxing was done with vdm 1.5.1. playback with zp using intervideo audio 4.5.28.73 (i think, not at home) audio filters with avi2dtsac3.ax and dtssource.ax filters installed. playback of regular dts files (from movie soundtrack) works fine with no skipping problems.

i havent had problems with the ac3 32 ms on either ac3filter or intervideo audio.

thanks,
kevin

Try AVI-Mux GUI.

i havent had problems with the ac3 32 ms on either ac3filter or intervideo audio.The problem is not intervideo, but some buggy decoder hardware
