First i would say thanks for these great programms.
Althrough you can set the bitrate (in RA) for the extras at a constant value or percentage, in my mind none of both options distributes the bitrate in an optimal way ( = all extras have the same quality). Mostly this is because some extras need more bitrate than others for providing a certain quality. Sometimes they all have originally the save avg bitrate, so also the percentage option doesn't help either.
In my mind it would be worth a try, to do the 1st pass with the RoBa Method first, so you have the avg Bitrate a certain quality needs. After the 1st pass of all files has been done, all of these values (AVG BR of 1st pass) could get adjusted (to achieve an optimal usage of the avail. space).
Actually i've written a little spreadsheet, so i just have to enter the AVG BR of the 1st passes, the size you have left for the video and the lenght of the extras. Of course, it would be better if i could tell ReAuthorist/DoCCE 4U that it should only process 1st pass now, and all the further passes later on (or even all of that automatically). I've done some DVDs with this method, and it seems to work, but it's still a lot of work p.E. to copy lots of values out of RA and back into it.
So here the spreadsheets for OpenOffice and MS Office (i hope the later one displays everything correct). Feel free to use and improve the template.
