Hello, I'm not new to video encoding but I don't know about it enough to say that I'm good at it. I was wondering if anybody know of some doc's for newbies. Some that don't containt cryptic terms or one that explains these cryptic terms.

If some of the terms in Doom9's guides (http://www.doom9.org/guides.htm) are confusing, you migh try his Glossary (http://www.doom9.org/glossary.htm) and see if it helps.

In addition, there are approximately 14 different guides in a section called The Basics (http://www.doom9.org/dvd-basics.htm) which may be useful to you.

I did read the glossary.
