Hi guys,
when reading the forum, I realized that often problems are related to people using outdated programs. Especially for new beta-testing purposes like matroska, etc.
I think doom9 has the best and most complete list and links in the forum to all the necessary programs.
My idea is to create a program similar like the windows update function! Basically there would be a small program to download and maybe install. If you than execute this program it would connect to doom9s site and check for the newest updates. Maybe even looking especially for updates of already installed programs.
That way it would be very easy to keep uptodate with all these fast developments in this area. I think it would be nice if you could even donwload and install all the programs through this program.
IF you people think that would go to far, it could maybe just check a database for the version number and point out where there are new programs.
Tell me what you think. I think it would be ver neat. (Oh, I am not a programmer... so I can only tell my ideas.)
Daniel
