Hi all

I hoping someone can help me before i give up on this.

I copied mtv base on a Phillips DVD recorder then used chopperxp to take each music clip then i joined them into one vob. Now i have no problem playing it but my problems starts when i try to add chapters.

I tried dvdlab but after the first 5 chapters it jumps back to the start, i then tried it on a few other progs and i get the same problem. If i demux then join back i have a sync problem now that's the same for every program iv tried. Now i found there was a problem with the audio file so i fixed that then i tried dvdmeastro and i get a gob error, so im thinking there is a error in the video file but unsure how to check/fix it. read what iv read that's why it goes out of sync??

The sync problem is now where im at but the sync is out about 800ms at the start and about 2 sec at the end, iv yet to try a fix this with sonic forge.

Someone must have clue what im on about lol so any advise on this matter would be great

Thanks

rather than join them together after cutting, drop each clip into dvdlab on its own. this is easier to manage (altho takes up more layout space) and gives each video its own PGC.

Hi Enf

Thanks for your reply :)

I have tried this before and found that it worked, but u cant go to next chapter because its in the next vob so u have to wait for the clip to finish. Iv tried linking all the vobs but still no luck. I also tried the option in dvd-lab that joins the vobs togeather but it dont work, i guess because the vobs aint 0.99gb?? some of my vobs are 100mg/800mg

Any other ideas u can think of? maybe the best thing i could do is fix the joined vob so it doesnt jumb back to the start but i have no idea how

Does chapters in dvdlab have an end action? I mean can u assign an action to be performed upon reaching chapter's end?

If so u can define a chapter just after the last one, one gop away should do the trick and assign a jump to the next vob upon ending its playback that is .5 secs. Likewise u can define a similar chapter just before the start on the next vob and jump to the previous one.

I have read this in a trilight's thread about a year ago.

Hi oddyseus

ill give it a try see if i can or not.

I did try something else, i editted my vob file so there now a video clip a movie. but i have another problem, i testing by joining them to one big vob again and added 45 auto chapters and all was fine no jumping back to start and all in sync, but i manualy added the chapters i wanted and it jumps back to the start after the 10th chapters. I testing again with auto chapters and all fine so can anyone explain why auto chapters works and manual chapters dont??

create a chapter right at the end of the clip, then when you are in the last chapter, it will seek to basically then end of the clip, which would seek to the start of the 2nd clip almost immediately.

@oddyseus

dvdlab can set the end action of the clip, but i think it must have the 'disable last chapter skip' option permanantely (there is some compatibility issue with it off iirc).
