Hi,

I just received my new soundcard, a Audiotrak Prodigy 192. I use SPDIF out to my receiver and it works ok for DVDs played through PowerDVD with AC3, but I cant get it to work with my DIVx files with AC3.

I have installed the AC3filter, set it to SPDIF and tried both Directsound and Wave Out. But no succes. I have used WMP9 and Zoomplayer as players.

What can be wrong?

Cheers,
Lenny

You may try your analog outputs instead.

What kind of connection are you using for spdif? Do you get some audio when playing or just silence? When playing in zoomplayer, try checking the properties of the AC3filter (right click - filter properties - ac3 filter) or try rendering a file in graphedit to find a little more information.

Edit: IIRC I think Gabest might have a filter on his site (http://sourceforge.net/projects/guliverkli/) for passing ac3 from an avi to a decoder such as PowerDVD, might be another workable solution.
