What do purple vertical lines mean in advanced settings

I recently started using CCE's advanced settings to manually adjust the bitrate and I cant figure out what the purple vertical lines represent. Any assistance would be appreciated.

These indicate where CCE detected a "scene change", that is, it automatically inserted an I-Frame.
