This is strange. I have DoCCE4U working with this version of CCE but when I try to use it in combination with ReAuthorist I get the same error message.

heh I get the same error and can't get past it.
Same problem... stange as I think others have it working...
Andy
Well then can you please ask someone who has it working how they did it? :D
Not that I think there's actually a need for this new CCE version, but since I have to test everything and anything, it would be nice to know how 'others' got it working.
Thanks,

it wont even work in docce for me. It just complains about it not being a supported version.
This is the only newer version of cce i have (2.5+), the previous 2.67.xx seem to be hard to find. And the 2.66 version i have prolly wont work either.

sorry to top this old thread, but i hear you can hex-edit docce4u to accept other versions of CCE that were not orginally supported, like the one above.
Does anyone know how you do this, i have taken a look at the docce4u .exe in an editor. But can see no obvious place to edit.
Maybe someone has done this and can show us how.
Thanks :)

Well, I'm sure you can but I've never heard of it being done. I've got a hex edited version of the ccespt.exe that works (simply changed it to report that it is a lower version), however I did this for my own testing and for obvious reasons I can't give it out.
I'd ask whoever you heard about the hex edit trick from, since you are the one that heard it :D

After a lengthy 2 minute search using UltraEdit I managed to find the list of supported versions in the DoCCE4U executable. In you hex editor go to line/address 00044890h and you'll see a list of version numbers.
The first version number listed is 2.67.0.10. I changed the last 0 to a 1 and now I can use 2.67.00.11. When DoCCE4U opens it reports 2.66.00.10 though for some reason. I've tested it and it works.

Ok I'm also having this problem and it's making me more than frustrated. I've uninstalled everything relating to this on my PC. The above post did not help me, I still got the same message appearing. Please, if anyone else knows another way of making a QUALITY back up without using DVD Shrink (I'd rather invest time than quality) I'd much appreciate it. It seems that most of these guides are out of date and/or using out of date software. They're all conflicting.
Current Versions Are as follows:
Cinema Craft Encoder 2.64.01.10
Daemon Tools 3.41
DoCCE4U 1.0.1.5
DoItFast4U 1.4.0
DVD Decryptor 3.1.7.0
Scenarist 2.7
Please help as it's driving me crazy!!!!

Just make sure you have the most current version of eclcce. I just did a backup using CCE 2.67.00.23. I've backed up more than 100 dvds using "The Big Three" with nothing short of wonderful results

[BMC] is right - this is an old thread. Since eclCCE has been updated several times since this thread was started, all you need is the latest version of eclCCE (1.7b)
You should also think about trying BatchCCEws instead of DoCCE4U as DoItFast4U now detects and uses it. I'm also using 2.67.00.23 without problems.

Where did you guys get CCE 2.67.00.23? Is it the full version or the trial? The trial puts a logo on your film does it not?

OK this is getting ridiculous. I've reinstalled everything except DoCCE4u and replacing it with BatchCCEws and I'm getting nearly the same error report.
"CCE Executable associated with EclCCE is not supported by BatchCCEWS".
This is annoying the hell out of me. Why can't this software be able to recognise each other. People have written guides, posted them on the Internet and when I follow the guides to the LETTER it doesn't work. I have all the latest versions, I've double-checked. My DVD Decryptor is now 3.1.9.0 in case someone is going to point that out. How is everyone able to do this and have no problems??
All I want is either someone to point me to a QUALITY over SPEED guide that actually works. If anyone would like screenshots of what I'm looking at they're more than welcome.

Do you really think posting with an attitude is going to get you some helpful support? :stupid:
Rethink your approach. You're posting questions without giving any relevant infomation. For instance, what version of CCE are you currently using? Saying "latest version" implies that even if this thread is 2 months old you're still using the latest version. Plus, I don't keep up with the latest versions, especially after I see bugfixes like "fixed a bug where avisynth scripts were not accepted". Help us to help you.

Ok... I am currently reading my 20 page print out of Quality DVD Backup Guide located here (http://www.dvdr-digest.com/articles/articles.php?article_id=24&mode=print).
I currently have installed...
BatchCCEWS.0.9.1.2
Cinema Craft Encoder.SP.v2.67
Daemon Tools 3.41
DoCCE4U 1.0.1.5
DoItFast4U.v.1.4.0
DriveInfo 2.2
DVD Decryptor 3.1.9.0
EclCCE v1.7a
I've followed the guide perfectly and I can't get past step 5. When I start up the software again, I get the same error message.

Dude, you need eclCCE 1.7b. Just open CCE, go to Options > EclCCE > Download Latest Version.
Also dont forget that BatchCCEws comes with its own version of EclCCE in the BatchCCEws directory so make sure you overwrite these with the 1.7b that you download. Oh and check your pm.

All I want is someone to point me to a QUALITY over SPEED guide that actually works.
Very true, I too am frusterated over the conflicts I have with CCE and DoCCE4U or BatchCCEWS to get very far.
DoCCE4U gives me this error right off the bat, "CCE Executable associated with EclCCE could not be found. Please reconfigure EclCCE and restart DoCCE4U." Just as in doom9's guide, I select the proper exe file, DC4U close and CCE starts with this error, "This 2.67.00.23 CCE version is not yet supported. ECL support not available. See EdCCE.pdf for more information!" OK, I'll just try BatchCCEWS and see how that goes.
BatchCCEWS is more straight forward, it just says, "CCE Executable assosiated with EdCCE is not supported by BatchCCEWS. Please reconfigure EdCCE and resstart BatchCCEWS."
Any help to get past this little bump in the road would be appreciated, thanks.
CCE SP v2.67.00.23
DoCCE4U v1.0.1.5
DoItFast4U v1.4.0.0
ReAuthorist v1.0

I'm only going to say this once more:
You need eclCCE 1.7b in order to use CCE 2.67.00.23. Where ever you install eclCCE to you will need to copy the entire contents of the eclCCE directory into your DoCCE4U/BatchCCEws directory aswell, then run eclCCE.exe and point it to you CCE 2.67.00.23 executable.

Number one, untill you get eclCCE working you can't go to Options > EclCCE > Download Latest version because it's not there! Don't worry, before I get yelled at let me say I got it all figured out so Samurai listen up. Yes you do need 1.7b but finding that is a bitch. http://home.t-online.de/home/340044300675/eclcce.zip
Then you need to do as idbirch2 said with UltraEdit so DOCCE4U will be ok with your current version of CCE.
You will also need AVISnth http://www.doom9.org/Soft21/SupportUtils/AviSynth_253.exe
With all that you should be good to go.

I'm not yelling, but entering "eclCCE" in Google yields a first result of the direct download page for 1.7b

I know that, ;) , and without your help idbirch2 about the hex editor I still be trying to make it work. I want to know if Samurai got it figured out, I've been wanting to see if this "Quality over Speed" thing really holds water. Plus now that I got everything working I must say seeing everything layed out in Scenarist is impressive.:sly:

Im using (trying...) BatchCCEws with Cinema Craft Encoder v2.67.00.11 (thanks idbirch2 for renaming info about that) but when I start CCE it asks input for like 5-6 windows for every file it is going to encode... is it possible to fix that?
Second - BatchCCEws wants to encode all files twice? I have chosen 5 pass, then CCE scans first then encodes 5 pass. After that it wants to encode same file once more, even then though filelist only got on entry?
Please help
Thanks for a great forum with nice people :D

What do you mean when you say CCE asks for input for 5-6 windows? Any information CCE requires should be fed by BatchCCEWs - you should see quite a few different windows opening at first but filenames should be inserted automatically and after a few seconds encoding should begin - no user input required.
On the second point are you saying CCE creates the video info file then does 5 passes, then repeats the whole thing or......? If it does and there's only one job in BatchCCEws's list this should not happen - uninstall and reinstall all your (Big3) apps.
MrBobman
9th February 2004, 13:43
1. Exactly - the information is not inserted automatically, so the whole point with BatchCCEws is gone.
2. Yes. If I have only one job - CCE runs (after I manually replied all windows, see 1 above), then asks for same information once more and encodes again.
Its a clean Win XP SP1 (US) with only BIG3 apps and related apps. I'll reinstall all BIG3 stuff...

Make sure you've installed eclCCE 1.7b. If you install in to C:\Prog Files\eclCCE make sure you copy its entire contents to the BatchCCEws directory aswell as BCCEWS has its own copy of eclCCE.

Check your EclCCE.ini. If there's a 'debug=1' parameter, delete it.

Thanks - after I copied all files and removed debug=1 it works :D
Unfortunalety now ReAuthorist shuts down when Im trying to Author It... Im gonna reinstall ReAuthorist and do all steps from beginning again.
Thanks for your help - so far :D

I wonder who put the debug parameter in the INI file? It's not even officially documented :D
