This is what i want to do.

I am trying to split a movie, that was the easy part, but what I am also trying to do, that that whn you select the additional features in the menu, that a screen appears saying that to run this feature, pls insert the extras dvd. All these extras are in 1 vob file currently on the second DVD, but this file contains 13 pgc. what i would like to know is how i create additional pgcs so that all extras menu buton will go to the correct place in the newly created vob that im trying to create.

extras link 1 - goes to - pgc1 (works)
extras link 2-13 - goes to - pgc 2-13 (dont work as dont exist)

is there any way that this will work, or do i need to try something else e.g how whould this work?

extras link 1 - goes to - pgc1 (works)
extras link 2-13 - goes to - pgc1

what can i use to do the above.

please help as i cannot think of what else i can do to get around this problem - of course i can leave it blank, but would rather not, it would look more professional if it had a message that appears for 5-10 secs, then goes back to the previous menu.

Author a 13 pgc vob that it will have the informing still in.

Name it as the missing vob
ifoupdate and get vts sectors with the newly authored vob in place of the original.

If u do it write there should be no need to edit the jump commands to the original pgcs.

thx for the advice.

What I have done, and which now works is have a screen which appears for 10 secs, saying to insert the extras dvd for feature selected.

Just a question, is there anyway i can also add in maestro to tell it to go back to the main menu after the 10 secs are up, even though i havnt touched/copied the menu whatsoever. if not dont worry, ill just put the screen on for longer.

whatever commands u put in Maestro will just be ignored. Ofcourse u can add them just to see them and add them manually in the original ifo.

how can i manually put in a command that would tell it to go back once the time is up, and if so, what would i need to use, i used ifoedit to update the vts sectors, and that worked fine, so that each of the extras menu links all work as they should, is there anyway to get it to go back to the menu which it can from?

thx

What was the originals behaviour upon finishing playback of an extra?

Exactly the same would be the newly's authored one.

However to learn how to implement adding or modifying commands in ifo u can search the ifo/vob editors forum.
